Moving Water
Water was poured into a glass container and then using a stencil, it was stirred in circular motion. While the water was moving, ink was poured.
The image on the right show some examples of the experiment.
Diffusion
Dropping liquid colour into water causes the colour to DIFFUSE.
Diffusion is time and temperature dependent. In stagnant liquid, the colour and ink diffuse at a slower rate.
In moving water, the diffusion process occurs at a faster rate.
Many other factors affect the result, e.g. pressure, density, and the state of the matter.
